Shift4Shop is company that aims at becoming a big payment processor for restaurants, hotels, stadium, etc. The company formerly known as 3Dcart got acquired by Shift4 around 2001 and became the leading payments processor competing with the likes of Square, Venmo, and others.
When I entered the company back then 3Dcart, my role started as a theme builder mainly working with html, css, jquery and javascript; as time progressed my role changed. The company adapted new coming technology such as Html5, css3, sass as well as jQuery and some introduction to Angular.
When Shift4 (Shift4Shop) acquired 3Dcart, things changed a lot. The company worked on more complex project regarding the software admin and as the way the company worked changed, so did my role and title as well. I went from Web Developer to Software Engineer II (Junior), working with MySql, jQuery, Git, Sass, Html5, Css3 as well as Basics of Angular and Agile-Scrum.
